October 27, 2016, 7:00am - October 27, 2016, 2:00pm
Join us for breakfast, lunch, or brunch on Thursday, October 27th and support this great cause! We'll be donating a percentage of sales from the day to the Portland Women's Crisis Line, in their annual Nosh4Nonviolence partnership.
What: Dine at the Cadillac Cafe & you will be supporting the West Women's & Children's Shelter or the PWCL in their efforts to provide advocacy and support to individuals escaping violence.
Who: Nosh4Nonviolence is a collaborative fundraiser for three local domestic violence intervention agencies, Call to Safety (formerly the Portland Women’s Crisis Line - PWCL), West Women & Children’s Shelter and Bradley Angle House who is the third charity joining Nosh 4 Nonviolence this year! The event mobilizes restaurants willing to donate proceeds from one day of business directly to services for survivors. The event is in its seventh year, and our supporters are eager to participate again in 2016
Local. Sustainable. Grassroots. These words describe the values of many of us who live, work, and play in our amazing metropolitan city of Portland. They also describe both Call to Safety (formerly PWCL) and West Women & Children’s Shelter. Together, we are two of Oregon’s oldest nonprofits whose mission it is to end domestic and sexual violence while supporting survivors.
Our hard working employees, alongside our approximately 60 volunteers, responds to over 27,000 calls a year. That’s 27,000 moments in a person’s life when they reached out to get support and information at an incredibly vulnerable time in their or a loved one’s life. At both Call to Safety (formerly PWCL) and the West, we live and breathe our agency’s core values of Empowerment and Survivor-Led Services. Each one of us believes that our work is part of a bigger movement to end oppressions in all forms. We’re in it for the long haul, and the people who come into contact with us can’t help but notice that passion and dedication.
